NAMM 2025: Samson Expands S-Max Series with New Retrack Reamplification Direct Box
Samson, an industry pioneer in professional audio products, announces the new Retrack reamplification direct box at NAMM 2025. The latest addition to Samson’s S-Max studio solutions series, the Retrack will be available at major MI retailers in Q2 of 2025 for $89.99 MAP.
Samson Retrack a desktop reamplification solution designed with convenience at its core. The input can be toggled to work with standard line level sources or the headphone output from an audio interface or mixer, eliminating the need to disconnect speakers on compact interfaces.

Versatile By Design
The Retrack’s main input is a XLR/TRS combo jack, for connecting sources from smaller audio interfaces to large digital mixing consoles without the need for adapters. It also has an input selector that allows it to be fed from the headphone output on an audio interface, summing the signal to mono. This allows the speakers on smaller interfaces to remain wired to the interface while running the Retrack.
Reliable Utility
Retrack has all the features needed for your recording projects. A rotary volume control allows the signal being sent to the amp to be adjusted for different rigs and recording applications, an output mute switch to silence the box for monitoring, and a ground lift helps keep buzzing under control for a clean sound, making it extremely adaptable for any studio.
S-Max Durability
The all-metal chassis provides Retrack with a compact form factor and solid durability, perfect for both studio use and touring. Being as small in size as the other Samson S-Max series signal boxes, Retrack is perfect for smaller studio setups, portable recording, and touring rigs.
